Sometimes all you need for good design is a well shaped piece of quality wood. The quality is a lot higher than I expected, the finish is very smooth, and it comes with some very fine sandpaper and a little bottle of the finish if you ever need to smooth something out or touch up the color. The size has been complimentary to every keyboard I’ve used it with. Having a nice, solid place to rest your wrists works much better at reducing fatigue in comparison to the rubbery ones. The value is great, since a quality piece of hard wood will last a lot longer than other materials, and it just looks classy. There are good rubber feet that get a good grip on every surface I’ve tried.

This wooden wrist rest is beautifully made. The surface is so smooth that it easily compares to rests I have that are made of materials like acrylic and resin, but because it’s sanded wood it has a “softer” feel to it. I was surprised that it came with extras – some sand paper and a little bottle of oil to maintain the surface finish over time. Very nice detail there! I do personally prefer rests that have a sharper angle to them (that have less of a ledge on the side closest to the user) so I’ll be removing the non-slip pads from the bottom and sanding it down to adjust that, but I knew on ordering that this would be necessary, and again, that’s just a personal preference thing. I know a lot of people prefer rests that have this shape, and it’s more common. Speaking of the non-slip pads, they’re well adhered and work wonderfully, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to remove them without damaging them and put them back on when I’m done modifying the angle of the rest. Overall, it’s a great addition to my keyboard collection, and it looks perfect with my wooden board and leather desk mat setup!
