I’ve gone through a few paper weights and random objects like hand weights to try to get my space bar to keep clicking when I need to work on paper/white board while still clearly “Available” on Teams and Slack. My work MacBook Pro is too “smart” for this, I guess. Before, I had to set reminders to tap the keyboard, which was so disruptive to my work.Some paper weights are too heavy. Some paper weights are too light or have the wrong shape. This one is perfect. Just lean the head of the octopus on your space bar, and let it go! Works just like a finger!

Lovely on a sunlit windowsill! The blue and orange serve to intensify perception of the vivid colors, an artist’s trick. The craftsmanship is impeccable. I own many glass paperweights and believe me, this one is perhaps the best eye grabber in my collection.I was going to get another as a gift for a friend but they’re out of stock. I can only hope they restock!

I know it’s individual art, but my octopus isn’t nearly as dark and opaque as the example shown. That said, it’s a solid chunk of glass and would be perfect as a paperweight or impromptu murder weapon.
