   The red logo tag bothered me, since it would be a problem for the intended green screen use. I won’t be doing keyboard and mouse overhead shots, but instead, shots were I work with objects on a table top, and would prefer to not have to worry about one corner with bright red ever getting in the shot. So I tried cutting the thread, but if I could undo that I would just paint the tag green instead. That’s because the tag is also attached with adhesive, which pulled on the green threading, causing some fraying, and also left behind holes that are larger than I expected. Hopefully this doesn’t create a situation where it gets worse.Otherwise, great mat, very grippy on the bottom and very matte finish green that feels nice. Perhaps a bit more texture on the surface fabric than is ideal for green screen, but with the right soft and even lighting, I don’t expect it will create problems. I’ve had good luck with neon green posterboard, so I consider this an upgrade, but the posterboard is in option if the budget is too limited or you just want to test out a technique for overhead shooting green screen on a table or floor.

   Great mousepad. I haven’t had a chance to use it as a greenscreen pad just yet, but I intend to. The mousepad itself is quality and as far as I can tell is the right color for a chroma key filter. Great product.

   I wasn’t expecting such a high-quality product, but the Pixio 2XLarge Green Screen Mouse Mat Chroma Key Mat is built to last for lots of fun projects.It’s thick and durable and the color is consistent.Compared to other products like this I’ve purchased, the quality is ten times higher than anything I’ve found – it’s professional quality.Works well with green screening, and the uniform color makes it easy to work with.Easy to light well, too, as the material is thick enough that it doesn’t crease.What a huge find this turned out to be – color me surprised (and if you color me green, you can put any image you like over it). Very happy and definitely recommend!

   This green screen mouse mat checks the key feature that most people are looking for in a product like this. This mat has a perfect green chroma key match so that you can use it for greenscreen photography or video on your desk. It is slightly thicker than the average mouse mat and it has a very smooth fabric that could be used for fast action gaming if you so desired. That is also related in a way to the green screen element, because this basically guarantees that there is almost no color variation or shadowing from one angle to another. That helps you to get smooth recordings where you can set the green screen background to be whatever you want it to be.There are a few considerations with this product. It is impossible to ignore the Pixio tag, which is incredibly out of place given what this product is going to be used for by most people. They could have even made the tag in green if they so desired, but alas this is something we just have to live with. I supposed some really determined types might cut the tag off, but I don’t want to risk damaging the mat in any way.They sell this in a few different sizes. While the the large and XL sizes are similar to common mouse mat sizes, they both seem to be slightly larger than their analogous counterparts. But the triple XL size is much bigger than most mats, allowing you to accomplish some truly epic shots that are difficult to get otherwise.And this brings me to the last consideration which is impossible to ignore. The pricing of this is really high. While I think it’s easier to justify in the very largest size, not everybody is going to have enough room to even deploy such a huge mat. Because of the overall quality I must accept that there really isn’t a log of great alternatives for this, so the high price just seems like a cost of ownership till more competing options come to market.CONCLUSIONWhile based on a simple concept and extremely expensive for what it is, this mat is very high quality and fills a need that is difficult to fill otherwise. As such I would still recommend it, with the caveat that the larger mats are more worth the premium if you have the desk space to accommodate them.

   First, the mousepad is huge… and that is a massive bonus! The chroma green is bright and vibrant and while this is padded, it’s not too thick that it feels weird when working or gaming. This covers the majority of my desk surface. The top is smooth and doesn’t pile, ensuring smooth movements.

   This mat is excellent for gaming. It is well-made, and the green color is very vibrant. It is unbelievably smooth and perfect for the mouse to glide across. The material is comfortable and very cushiony.
