The material is lightweight and very sturdy and the pouches are designed to fit in standard 3 ring binder.I got these to organize important documents for each family member. I used one color for each member which makes it easy to visually identify the pouches even without labelling. There are 5 pouches of each color so I used one color for a member to keep IDs, Cheque books, passport, cards separately and then put all the pouches in a binder.
