For around-the-house use, these are extremely grippy. These five stars are only for house-use. As for other uses such as improving grip on hand-held objects like cameras, computer mice, I cannot comment. See below for my uses.My intended use was for the underside of a table easel. The feet of the easel are wood, while the surface it’s on is HDF “wood”. It does not move – at all.The material on this grip that comes into contact with the HDF is a mixture of friction and an almost adhesive-like grip. I couldn’t use it for this easel where I wanted a bit of give to move it back and forth across my desk. However, I used it for a 58L 22lb trash can, and this thing is no longer sliding as I open and close it across the kitchen floor. I also used it for a cabinet that would move bit by bit every time I opened and closed a drawer — Also doesn’t move at all.If you’re using this to keep things in place that do not need to move — This is your answer.
