I needed an inexpensive three-ring binder. This one appears to be perfect for my needs.

This is a great planner book! I’m able to keep it close at hand and use it all day long. I bought blank tabs to make my book topics fit in with the subjects that I wanted to keep track of. I used Excel and created my own note paper (2 per sheet) as well as graph paper for designing (2 per page with line at bottom for notes). Bought a day/monthly inserts, some folders for loose papers and I’m set. For me, it works out better than the expensive planners that have “pre-named” tabs and inserts that I wouldn’t use.

Overall I like the binder. It’s a durable cardboard binder covered with the abstract design, and the metal three-ring contraption is sturdy and secure.However, I knocked off 1.5 stars because within the first day, the top cover was bent and you can see the wrinkle of the design lifted from the cardboard itself. Also, the design on the product page looks very iridescent, shiny and glittery. In reality, it’s a picture of the golden glittery design, so it doesn’t have any actual reflective material to make it look like actual gold. But honestly, these things aren’t deal-breakers, since I’m using it for home journaling use. I had also bought some 1/2 page paper protectors and the holes lined up perfectly.

The pattern on the cover of this binder is very pretty. They colors are a nice marbling and nothing is jarring or printed wrong. The rings inside hold closed securely, but are still easy to open. There are no tabs to open them, you just pull them apart. Also no inside pockets, it’s just the rings for adding paper. The board used for it is sturdy, and will hold up for using as a makeshift clipboard while writing on the paper inside.
