I got this first gen Apple Pencil sleeve for my kid. My kid, being a kid, will drop his pencil quite often, or accidentally have the pencil go flying across the table onto the floor! The sleeve has prevented damage to his Apple Pencil, and the sleeve adds a tiny bit of thickness to the pencil so it makes it easier for my child to hold. The sleeve feels like silicone, so it is not slippery – a good thing if you have an Apple Pencil for your kid. The top of the sleeve also is a cap holder, and it works very well! I also did not have any issues shoving the pencil into the sleeve, and charging the pencil is just as easy too.

It is a very nice sleeve. Smooth to the touch. It gives you a firm hold. The only inconvenience is that it doesn’t fit in the Ipad case I bought and I think it won’t fit in any other case since the slot for the pen is usually made for a snug fit so the pen doesn’t fall. It seems to be a durable product. Once you put the sleeve on it’s not easy to take it off.
