Excellent quality, this product is a godsend. It enables me to put my miniature keyboard on it with space left over in front for a comfortable wrist rest, perfect ergonomics for a very limited desk space. No-fuss install. Great product and ingenuity.

I do a lot of gaming on my PC and decided to throw away my old L-shaped desk in favor of a more traditional desk format. I’ve been accustomed to resting my arm on the same surface that my mousepad sits on, so this change left my mouse arm floating uncomfortably in the air. I should mention that I also removed the arms from my computer chair as every slight turn left and right caused them to impact my desk – and that was driving me nuts.Anyway – on to the good and the bad:Pros:* Solves the problem of the floating arm. Heavy duty construction. Feels like a quality product that will last.* Folds down when not in use to save real estate in front of the desk* One of the only products I found with a clamp large enough to attach to my specific desk type* The pad is rigid with some give, but comfortable enough for what I was looking for. So far I’ve only used it in cold environments and have yet to experience a hot summer with skin contact on the surface. No complaints so far though. Looks like it will be easy to clean when needed and durable.Cons:* The pad does not rest level with the desk. It places the arm higher than the surface on which the mouse and keyboard sits. When I would hold the mouse level with my arm, it would float a quarter inch off the desk. This caused even more arm strain than before. This was corrected by cutting a quarter inch piece of acrylic to the size of my extended desktop mousepad, which raised both my mouse and keyboard enough to feel comfortable when using the armrest. It doesn’t do any favors for the aesthetic of the desk, but it solves the initial problem.* The screws jutting out of the bottom are fairly long and I have painfully swung my knee into them on more than one occasion. I needed a product with a larger clamp than most competitors though, so I suppose I can’t have it both ways.* The clamps that rest on top of the desk limit how closely a mousepad can rest to the edge. There’s nothing that can be done about this though and in no way affected my review score. It’s just something to keep in mind.Despite the cons, I just ordered a second one to support my other arm now that my keyboard has been leveled to accommodate the first armrest. If I find something that accomplishes the same task without needing to raise my mouse/keyboard, I will most likely switch – but I have to give credit where credit is due and recommend this product to anyone who doesn’t shy away from a little DIY to get the most out of this purchase.
