I love a giftable craft that isn’t completely hideous. These are charming, unique and functional bookmarks. I could picture these being a lovely add on to a wrapped gift (like a tag) or a surprise insert in a greeting card.My 6 year old and I each made bookmarks for ourselves and were happy with how they turned out. I look forward to making more of these to include with little holiday gifts to friends, teachers and family. These are easy to make, but here are a few tips. Order extra pressed flowers (or make your own). They sent so few that you’d be lucky to get 2-3 flowers in each bookmark. They don’t look great that way, in my opinion. You could also add loose glitter or confetti to add to the potion look of these bookmarks. The stickers that open these need to be applied on the end that looks like the bottle’s bottom. They are sealed at the top.I sort of wish these didn’t have the words on them because I think it makes their gifting a bit more limited, but whatever. This is fun for kids or adults.

Untrue to description but I had trouble figuring out how to open the book markets. Came without instructions

I made these with my step mom and we had so much fun doing them together. We love how they turned out! Going into making these, we already planned on adding more “interest” to them, because the kit only comes with about 2 dried flowers per bookmark (which is why 4 stars instead of 5). We added glitter and star confetti. Could easily add anything else that’s flat to spice them up. Tips for making them go smoother: use some clips to keep the two sides together at the top when you’ve opened it, so you don’t have to fuss with lining the two sides back together to seal it all up. Use something a bit weighed to keep the top flap from falling back down before you’re done (we used hole punch, I’ve shown this in a picture). Slightly offset the “open” stickers, but not too much (or the two sides won’t come apart), to help open the pieces. Finally, try not to get any of your flowers (or extra pieces) outside the white lines, or the bookmarks will be hard to reseal. We found starting at the middle and pushing out using our fingers was a decent enough way to remove the excess air, but anything too close to the edge breaks the seal. All in all, very easy to make and they turned out quite lovely!
