This mouse rest is very comfortable and has a low profile. I believe the low profile helps you control the mouse better when gaming. This was the reason I bought it. I play Battlefield 3 (a fps) where precision mouse control is important. Also this mouse rest is very comfortable. You can push down on it with your wrist for long periods and your wrist feels fine. This is much different than the bead bag style wrist rest I had before where after a week of using it while playing Battlefield 3, I started getting a numbness on the pinky side of my mouse hand. I’m very happy with this product.edit: Its been a few months since I purchased this and I’ve noticed now that if I rub my wrist hard on the pad or run my finger nail along the top the black surface of the wrist rest seems to become whiter. It looks like some of the foam padding from the inside is being grinded up a little bit by the spandexy type outer layer. So I have wondered if this foam stuff that is embedded the surface is being absorbed by my skin if my wrist gets sweaty. Because of this I’ve reduced the rating to 4 stars. The rest still feels fine however and its not like powder is able to fall onto the desktop or floor or anything. Its a very small amount of that stuff and maybe even could be the spandexy material itself just turning white with friction.
