Few things to note… first and foremost, do know that you are getting a set of BLANK bookmarks, which can be used for painting with water colors. They do not come with the beautiful designs shown in the product pictures… those are just examples of what can be painted on them. This fact can easily be overlooked if you are looking this over in a rush.Second, as a set of blank bookmarks that can be painted, they work really well! I had my 6-year old daughter put her water color kit to work. The material is thick enough to absorb the paint without bleeding through, and it holds up well. The paper does get a bit crisp however, and they will curl up around the edges. I am a little worried that the paint will come off into my books since we used children’s water colors, but I imagine this concern is settled by using better quality paints. Either way, this will allow your inner artist (or your child’s inner artist!) come to life, and provide some truly unique and personal bookmarks as the fruits of their labor. I would recommend!
