I am using this file organizer as a free standing file folder, though I do have it attached to the wall for security and did not have the need for it to be hung, though that is an easily achieved option.__I love that the storage areas where files or whatever One chooses to add, is closed on either end. I have another file organizer that is open on either end and have found that to be problematic. So, the closed ends are much better, especially if there are smaller papers or items that may slide out from the pocket.__Also there is a cutout at the top center of each section which doesn’t seem important … until trying to retrieve a shorter file then that cutout is much appreciated. SMILES__I chose the 16 pocket style and absolutely appreciate having such a small footprint for containing a lot of items that otherwise would be overwhelming and hard to manage.__BOTTOM LINE: I am planning to purchase more of these as this one has proven highly effective for My use and I do recommend it to Others
